An educational estimate based on the state guidelines in force on November 6, 2026.
This version estimates a sole-parenting award without a parenting time adjustment. It uses weekly guideline net income, not gross monthly wages. Appendix IX-B rounds dollars to whole numbers and income-share ratios to two decimal places. Combined income is matched to the nearest $10 schedule row. The paying parent's share of the total obligation is reduced by that parent's direct payments.
Parent A has $1,200 and Parent B has $800 in guideline net weekly income. For one child the $2,000 schedule row is $425. Parent A's rounded income share is 0.60, so the no-add-on sole-parenting amount is $255 weekly. This is an illustrative worksheet calculation, not a published official case example.
This version does not estimate shared or split parenting, PAR Time credits, derivative benefits, other-dependent adjustments, college support, extraordinary expenses, or the age adjustment. Appendix IX-A paragraph 17 requires a 14.6 percent increase when the initial order is entered at age 12 or older. Select separate review if that rule applies or you are unsure. Childcare must already be net of the applicable Appendix IX-E tax credits. Recurring medical expenses must already exclude the first $250 per child annually.
The self-support reserve is $460 weekly under the 2026 rules. A reserve reduction requires that the custodial parent's income after that parent's support share remain above the reserve. Very low-income cases and exact reserve boundaries need separate review. Below $180 or above $3,600 combined weekly net income, the court must determine an appropriate award. The schedule is not extrapolated.
This estimate uses the September 1, 2025 schedule and the June 1, 2026 rule updates. No later effective amendment was located in the official materials reviewed on November 6, 2026. The rules should be checked again before any publication.
